Archive: If you must. :) Notes: occurs After Jay and Silent Bob strike back, before Justice returns home from her 4 year jail sentence. Jay and Bob sat across the table from eachother the morning after the premeire of the BLUNTMAN AND CHRONIC movie. Bob tapped his fingers on the table. JAy looked at him and cocked his eyebrow, as if to say, "you're annoying me." Bob stopped immediately. BOb desperately looked like he wanted to say something. It was too quiet. "What?" Jay said. Bob looked at him suprised that he even noticed anything was wrong. "What? Don't make me ask 20 questions, what is the matter with you, and why you lookin all sad all the time?" BOb frowned. HE opened his mouth to speak and then thought better of it. Jay look at him incredulously. "Well...Jay...did you really mean what you said about-about marrying Justice?" bob asked and then looked down quickly. "Is that what your tubby self has been moping about all this time? I dont know if i'm gonna marry her or not, i just said that. Four years is a really fuckin long time, who knows what kind of shit can happen in four years. why? why would it bother you if I did marry her?" everything was quite. Bob paused a long time before speaking. "Jay...I mean, I...what would happen to...i mean, where would we be...if...if you got married?" Jay looked at him puzzled. BOb knew he'd better say something quickly. "I-I mean, we've enver lived apart or anything, and i mean we've never gone any amount of time without seeing eachother...and i think that is would be sad...if-if that had to change." Jay's eyes got wide upon realizing that things would change if he got married. He began to pace. "Well, why would things have to change, I mean, you could live with us, and if we ever have kids you could be like their uncle or something." Bob shook his head sympathetically. "No, Jay. Justice will want you to herself, to live alone with you. And that is a fair expectation." JAy looked as if someone had punched him in the stomach. "Well, maybe...maybe we could work somethin out..." jay trailed off because he knew that it would not work. "It's okay, Jay. We have to grow up sometime, right?" Bob stood to leave because he knew he was about to cry and did not feel like hearing Jay calling him a softie. Suddenly he felt something smash into his back. He stumbled and turned around to see Jay clinging to his stomach. BOb looked down to see Jay crying. Bob picked him up in his arms and carried him to the couch. He held him until Jay's sobbing stopped. Jay looked up at him with tear-stained eyes. "I don't want to leave you, ya tubby bitch. I-I love you." Bob felt as if he'd been punched in the throat and he choked out a sob when he realized this torch he had been carrying for Jay all these years had finally ignited into something more than just his own private, hidden, feelings. He stroked Jay's long blonde hair that was matted to his face from tears. He kissed his forehead, and jay looked up. "Well, don't sit there all quiet, do you love me back or what?" Bob smiled and said, "Yes Jay, I love you back." Short and sweet. ^V^Lawrie^V^
