Title: Toy in the box Author: Jade Pairing: Well.. this could be anyone really.. but it's based on Jay and Silent Bob. Rating: PG-13 ish or less. Archive: Yep. Feedback: jade27_al@yahoo.com Disclaimer: Well.. I guess this is kinda original, as I don't use names. So.. uhm. Yeah. No disclaimer here. It's all mine baby! WOO! Notes: This bunny snuck up on me at work and cracked my skull opened with a tray. After cleaning up the mess, it forced me to write this. ------------------------------------------------------- Poor little broken toy, laying in the free box (Poor little broken boy, sleeping in the alley) You were once the favorite (He was once the favorite) You sat up high, proud on the shelf (He stood up tall, proud of himself) But slowly, you became replaced (But slowly, he became replaced) They still played, but now not as kind (They left him alone, thinking of him when it was convienient.) Eventually, they stopped playing completely (Eventually, they stopped thinking completely) You were old, seams bursting, not working right. (He lost his novelty, he wasn't fun anymore.) So they put you in the box. (So they tossed him in the alley.) People pick you up, only to throw you out again. (Johns would pick him up, only to use him again.) At first, there was hope, maybe the new person could fix you. (At first, he hoped, that someone could fix him.) But they only broke you further. (But they only broke him further.) Once they were done, it was back in the box. (Once they were done, it was back in the alley.) No one can love a broken toy. (No one can love a broken boy.) A new child. (A new trick.) This one looks kind, but they all looked kind. (This one is special. They all want to think they're special.) But this one mended the tears. (But this one stopped the tears.) He tries his best to patch the holes. (He tried his best to patch his soul.) Maybe this child will love you. (Maybe this man will love him.) Peaceful little patched-up toy. (Peaceful little patched-up boy.) There are still some rips. (There are still some scars.) But there are no more boxes. (But there are no more alleys.) You are finally loved, finally wanted. (He is finally loved, finally wanted.) -end-
